After sixteen years of wrongful imprisonment, a hardened ex con takes matters itno his own hands to win back his son and reclaim his place in the world that has forsaken him.

After servng sixteen years in prison for the brutal assault  of his wife, a hardened ex con returns home to clear his name and rehabilitate his reputation.  Alienated by his family and friends and denied by the court the opportunity to get to know his seventeen-year-old son, he pins his hopes on finding the real perpetrator to bring a sense of normalcy back into his life. When his investigation dead ends, and a former cellmate unexpectedly re-enters his life, he becomes convinced that playing by the rules is no longer an option.
